Grossmont school district did not identify the coach who is under investigation or give details about the allegations.
A coach at El Cajon Valley High School is under investigation for allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student, Grossmont Union High School District announced Thursday.
“After learning of allegations of sexual misconduct against an El Cajon Valley High School coach, we immediately notified law enforcement, and we reported the matter to Child Welfare Services,” the district said in a statement. “There is nothing more important than the safety of our students.”If the district finds that the coach committed misconduct, it will take disciplinary action up to and including termination, Grossmont said.
Grossmont did not immediately provide details about the allegations, which coach is being investigated or when it learned of the allegations. “So as not to impede ongoing investigations, and to maintain the privacy rights of all involved, the district will not comment further at this time,” the district said.
