Voting begins in Marisa Alcaraz vs. Imelda Padilla race to replace ex-Councilmember Nury Martinez for SF Valley seat.
District 6 is in the San Fernando Valley and includes the neighborhoods of Arleta, Lake Balboa, North Hills, North Hollywood, Panorama City, Sun Valley and Van Nuys.

Registered voters in the district should have received a vote-by-mail ballot by now, which must be postmarked by June 27 to be counted. Voters can also vote in person or drop off their completed ballot at a vote center.Voters may also drop off their ballots at any ballot drop box in the district through Election Day.Eligible District 6 residents who missed the voter registration deadline can still cast a ballot at a vote center.
