Carpentersville is still accepting July 4 parade entries for any group or organization that would like to march in the Carpentersville Independence Day parade.
Hours of operation for the Huffman Park splash pad in West Dundee are being extended by one hour. It will now be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.With this summer expected to be a hot one, the Dundee Township Park District has extended the hours of operation for the Huffman Park splash pad by one hour.The feature is now available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 811 Tartans Drive in West Dundee. It will be open for use through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5.
Admission this Saturday will be $10 for up to six people at Dolphin Cove Family Aquatic Center, 300 N. Kennedy Drive in Carpentersville. On the Fourth of July, admission will be $4 per person for all visitors to Dolphin Cove and to Sleepy Hollow Pool at 875 Winmoor Drive in Sleepy Hollow. The pools will have special hours of operation on July 4. Dolphin Cove will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sleepy Hollow Pool from noon to 4 p.m.
