The company is owned by a Hong Kong company whose CEO is a Chinese Communist Party member.
Under its Communist CEO, Basis has expanded its network, which includes both charter and private schools. Hu has also been a delegate to the World Economic Forum which holds its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
