, appearing in classic black and white on the runways of Jacquemus, Chloé, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, and Khaite. Now, the cyclist’s staple has returned on the street thanks to Emily Ratajkowski. Today, en route to the Women Empower lunch in New York City, the model-actress stepped out in the peculiar—but chic!—pant by the aforementioned label Khaite.
As for those pedal pushers? Though one might think that they hit at an odd place on the leg, they are actually the perfect in-between pant. Ratajkowski’s stylist Emma Morrison considers the silhouette the “more elevated version of the bike short but less casual than a full length legging,” and goes on to designate the pedal pusher “the midi skirt of stretchy pants.” In other words, time for a revival.
