Veteran hard rock band The Cult is coming to the MGM Northfield Park on July 12.
The Bradford, West Yorkshire band led by singer Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy is celebrating its 40th anniversary as The Cult in 2023 and released its eleventh studio album the 8-track collection, “Under The Midnight Sun,” the band’s first album since 2016′s “Hidden City.”
The band gained fame in the 80s with a hard goth look and sound on early albums such as “Love” from 1985 which contained the swirling alt-rock radio staple “She Sells Sanctuary,” and “Rain.” The band then went in a more traditional hard rock direction with the album “Electric” which included the stomping “Love Removal Machine,” and “Fire Woman.
