'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' returns to Hulu for Season 2 this September
Written and directed by star Edward Burns, the dramedy series is set in the early 1980s and follows a group of recent college grads setting out to pursue their dreams in Manhattan while still clinging to the familiarity of their working-class Long Island hometown.The series also stars Sam Vartholomeos, Caitlin Stasey, Gigi Zumbado, JanLuis Castellanos, Brian Muller and Isabella Farrell.Also in today’s TV news roundup:: Spies, Lies and Allies” will premiere on Aug. 11.
Peacock announced that the first three episodes of Kevin Hart’s new talk show “Hart to Heart” will debut on Aug. 5, with new episodes dropping weekly on Thursday. Each episode will see Hart sit back and have a glass of wine with A-list talent while engaging in an unfiltered conversation. The comedian will dig deep to find out what makes these world-class influencers tick, their goals and aspirations, their journey to stardom and the obstacles they overcame to reach their lofty status.
HBO Max announced that the comedy special “Marlon Wayans: You Know What It Is” will premiere on Aug. 19. Marking the first project to debut through Wayans’ overall deal with HBO Max, the special will see the comedian explore his deepest fears, such as raising a daughter, dealing with a rebellious teenage son and the realization that his bad decisions are what tore his family apart. Wayans, Rick Alvarez, Troy Miller, Michael Rotenberg and Steve Harris serve as executive producers on the project.
Hulu announced “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” Season 2 will premiere on Sept. 8 with the first three episodes. The new season sees Wu-Tang Clan disillusioned with life in the projects. Bobby knows that success in the music industry could be their ticket to better lives, but getting the other members to drop everything for music proves to be difficult. “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” is executive produced by Alex Tse, The RZA, Method Man, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.,” which will premiere on July 30.
