CLEVELAND, Ohio— Former East Cleveland Police Chief Scott Gardner faces new legal heat, this time from a federal judge whose orders he is accused of ignoring.over whether the police department harassed and improperly impounded the van of a political opponent of Mayor Brandon King during the 2021 campaign season, according to court records. He also failed to show up for a virtual hearing earlier on Tuesday that he was required to attend.
