US court schedules hearing for former policeman Derek Chauvin to change his current not guilty plea in Black man George Floyd's murder case
George Floyd was murdered during his arrest by officer Derek Chauvin after a store owner suspected him of using a counterfeit $20 bill.
The federal docket entry on Monday showed a hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday for Chauvin to change his current not guilty plea in the case. The court system also sent out instructions for the media to attend the hearing. The verdict was widely seen as a landmark rebuke of the disproportionate use of police force against Black Americans.
