‘Facing Nolan,’ new film on Nolan Ryan, hits theaters Tuesday for one night only
The film, directed by Houston native Bradley Jackson, spans the 75-year-old Ryan's life from his childhood in Alvin to his playing days with the Mets, Angels, Astros and Rangers. Scores of former teammates and opponents are interviewed throughout the film, as are family members, friends and various media members.
Ryan and his sons Reid, the Astros’ former president of business operations, and Reese are among the executive producers on the project.A trailer of the documentary"Facing Nolan" about Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan that premiered in March at the South by Southwest Film Festival.The Tuesday showings will include a question-and-answer session with Nolan Ryan that was recorded at the film's March premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March.
