City leaders and residents are still reeling from a June 12 incident involving someone spray-painting racist graffiti on the side of Fairview Shopping Center.
“On Sunday morning it was discovered by a passerby at Fairview Shopping Center above the old Blockbuster store,” Fairview Park Police Chief Paul Shepard said. “The suspect got access to the roof. Our officers responded and immediately contacted the fire department, which came out and covered the offending language.”

We’re currently following leads.”“It’s upsetting and embarrassing,” Cooney said. “Even though this is an isolated incident, it’s not indicative of the people of Fairview Park.”
Horrified by the recent act, Fairview Park Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coalition chair Jennifer L. Kramer said the volunteer group denounces and condemns racism and any other form of discrimination and harassment against any human being
