It's been two years since tragedy struck Taylorsville, when two young boys, Spencer Wall and Karl Finch, were hit by a car in a crosswalk on 2700 West.
The crash occurred on Oct. 30, 2021, when Spencer Wall and Karl Finch were walking in a crosswalk, holding flags to ensure their visibility. The impact of the crash claimed Karl's life and left Spencer severely injured. The family said they later discovered that the driver responsible was impaired and driving with a suspended license.
"There's been a lot of anger and a lot of frustration. And really, what we keep on being told by lawmakers is that the laws in place do not protect pedestrians, they protect drivers," expressed Keven Wall, Spencer's father.
