The family of a Chicago soldier is asking for help finding her missing dog that was last seen in Calumet City.
CALUMET CITY, Ill -- The family of a Chicago soldier deployed is asking for help finding her missing dog.
Last month, her Maltese/poodle mix dog, Marii, got away while he was with a sitter and hasn't been seen since. Anyone who might see him is asked to not chase or whistle, as it may scare him.
"Marii is loved and missed tremendously by our family," a family member said."He was not only a loved fur baby; he was also an Emotional Support Animal to my son and twin daughters, offering them a calm and steady presence during a year that has been filled with lots of transition. They are heartbroken and I would do anything to ease the pain that my children and sister are experiencing now.
Marii's family is also offering a reward if he is returned safe and unharmed. Anyone with information is asked to call 773-251-9526.
