“Ex-Rated,” a series debuting Thursday on NBCUniversal’s Peacock, joins a new pack of racy reality shows trying to push viewers’ boundaries and lure audiences to streaming services. This particular series features singles who have what might delicately be called intimacy issues. The first episode focuses on Chris, a germaphobe who meets with the show’s dating coach to overcome a sexual hangup.
“This is a new streaming service. They want to make noise and bring people into the service and give people things they’re not seeing anywhere else,” Andy Cohen, host and executive producer of “Ex-Rated,” says of Peacock’s aim.
