Federal regulators are warning about safety concerns amid the rising popularity of drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy for weight loss. The FDA is warning consumers that off-brand forms of the medications could be unsafe.

Ozempic is approved by the FDA to treat Type 2 diabetes, but some doctors prescribe the medication "off-label" for weight loss, as is permissible by the FDA.
