The Fiesta San Antonio Commission has said the gathering generates more than $340 million in local sales, according to a study from the University of Texas at San Antonio Center for Community and Business Research released in 2017. It brought in about $284 million in 2007.that more than 75,000 volunteers helped organize the event supporting nearly 3,500 paying jobs.
By Sunday afternoon, the San Antonio International Airport recorded a total of 2.9 inches of rain fell on the city over the span of Fiesta events between April 20 and April 30. San Antonio has seen 4.75 inches of rain this April – which is more than double the amount of the average monthly totals.
