With residents raising concerns about dust and traffic, Garden Ridge officials reject the zoning request from San Antonio-based Guadalupe Ready Mix.
Kendra Harralson waits in line to voice her opposition to a zoning variation on Guadalupe Ready Mix’s request to build their silos higher than the allowed 2.5 stories. Council voted to oppose the variation.during public comments at a Garden Ridge city council meeting.
“I’m really happy that the residents came out to participate in this,” said Lisa Swint, Garden Ridge's mayor pro tem and member of the Board of Adjustments. “We make our decision based on the ordinances and obviously we heard all the concerns from everyone.”
