Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Fire Country season 1, episode 11.Fire Country executive producer Tia Napolitano has teased a major character death is coming later in season 1 of the popular action drama series. Airing on CBS, Fire Country follows convict Bode Donovan, portrayed by Bates Motel star Max Thieriot. Bode, in hopes of shortening a three to five-year prison sentence, volunteers at the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection through a prison program.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Speaking with TV Insider, Napolitano revealed that a major character death is coming to Fire Country season 1. While she didn't reveal the identity of who will die or how they will go out on the show, she did indicate the death will be an emotional one for all Fire Country viewers. We have life-or-death stakes baked into the show and we’ve been gentle with the death side of that coin. We are going to lose someone who we love a lot. It’ll come as a great shock.Who Will Die In Fire Country Season 1? Despite Napolitano not specifying which character viewers will see die during Fire Country season 1, attentive audiences may be able to pick up on clues as to who won't be making it into season 2 of the series.
There's also the lingering possibility that a recently-established love triangle will lead to a major character's death. Recent developments in Jake's relationship with fellow firefighter Gabriella Perez reveal that she isn't fully invested in their romance, beginning to develop more feelings for Bode after splitting off from Jake.
The most likely scenario, however, is that a major character dies during a heroic battle against a major fire near the end of the season. While Jake could still be a candidate for the upcoming major death because of his role as a firefighter, combating a massive blaze would put every character who is a firefighter at risk of death. This marks Gabriella, her father and fire captain Manny Perez, and even Vince - among others - as possible candidates for Fire Country's big death.
