A firefighter was hurt and another person was treated at the scene during a fire in West Seattle Tuesday night.
The fire broke out at around 10:30 p.m. at an apartment building in the 2200 block of Alki Avenue Southwest.
Crews arrived to find smoke coming from a basement unit, and as firefighters made their way to the apartment, they found a 27-year-old man who was able to get out of the building on his own.Crews were able to get water on the fire and search the building within 10 minutes of arriving. Smoke had traveled throughout the building, and firefighters found a 93-year-old woman who was unable to walk and helped her outside to be evaluated by paramedics. She did not need to be taken to the hospital.
One firefighter was hurt in the fire but was stable. They were taken to the hospital for additional treatment,
