Firefighters work hours to extinguish blaze at Otay Mesa recycling yard [Breaking]
A two-alarm fire ignited at an Otay Mesa recycling yard on Wednesday night, burning cars and other discarded items, officials said.
Shortly after the first firefighters arrived, officials called for additional resources, said Cal Fire Capt. Mike Cornette.Crews from Cal Fire, San Diego Fire-Rescue and Chula Vista Fire worked on the fire, with about 15 engines responding, Cal Fire Battalion Chief Patrick Walker told OnScene TV.
