will be properly revealed in its final production form during an upcoming delivery event towards the end of the third quarter of 2023 as promised by Musk. While a fixed date has yet to be announced, reports suggest that the event will take place in September. There, we will likely learn the detailed specifications of the EV, while a small batch of Cybertrucks will be delivered to their owners.
Initially, production of the Cybertruck will be slow, ramping up in 2024. Over time, the volume could increase to as much as 250k-500k per year, which is the Cybertruck sales estimate by Musk. Speaking to shareholders a few months ago, the CEO said that the final product will be “better than expectations”. Rivals of the model in the electric full-size pickup segment include the Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevy Silverado EV, Ram 1500 REV, GMC Sierra EV, and Hummer EV.
