Five Memphis police officers involved in the arrest of Tyre Nichols have been fired
have been fired. The news concludes a civil rights investigation by the Justice Department and the FBI after Nichols died following a confrontation with Memphis police during a Jan. 7 traffic stop.
The following officers were terminated on Friday: Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., and Justin Smith.
