The Panthers struggled to a 3-6 finish and missed the playoffs for just the fourth time since 1986. But given the program’s track record, a rebound season was almost expected.“I think a lot of people know that wasn’t us,” Guzman said. “We faced a lot of adversity. It was hard, but we made it through. This year, we’re going to show everyone that wasn’t us.”
It left a bitter taste for the 6-foot-7, 295-pound Guzman, a relative newcomer to the sport who has become one of the faces of this football team for the Panthers.
