Deion Sanders landed the top-rated high school cornerback in the country, getting a commitment from Cormani McClain, a five-star recruit from Lakeland (Fla.) High School.
Deion Sanders has already landed the No. 1 transfer in the 2023 class.
On Thursday night, Cormani McClain, a five-star recruit from Lakeland High School announced that he has flipped his verbal commitment from Miami to CU. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound McClain had been expected to sign a national letter of intent with the Miami Hurricanes when the early signing period began on Dec. 21, but he delayed his decision.
A year ago, when Sanders was the head coach at Jackson State, he flipped the top-rated cornerback — and the No. 1 player overall — in the 2022 class, Travis Hunter, from Florida State to JSU. Last month, Hunter, the top transfer in this year’s class, announced that he is following Sanders to CU.
