Former Oregon State quarterback Tristan Gebbia is joining Ohio State via transfer for his final year of collegiate eligibility, according to a report byA seventh-year senior who started his career at Nebraska as a member of the recruiting class of 2017, Gebbia is expected to be a backup for the Buckeyes.
Over the course of his career at Oregon State, Gebbia completed 128 of 200 passing attempts for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns with four interceptions and added three rushing touchdowns on the ground. He also added an 8-yard touchdown catch and a 40-yard punt in 2020. Gebbia will give the Buckeyes a veteran presence in the quarterback room and provide additional depth behind whoever wins the starting quarterback competition between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown.
