Business Insider tells the global tech, finance, markets, media, healthcare, and strategy stories you want to know.
that you worried about stories like yours that would never be told, and that we'd never know about publicly. Why do you think it's so important to shed light on these agreements?
We had employees tell us they basically decided they would break their agreement during interviews, because they felt it was just such an unsatisfying answer to say"I can't talk about it." And then the final portion will be a deep dive, that I hope to grow over time, of whistleblower stories. Because even the best reporting is still just the tip of the iceberg for any one story. You could have a long profile done - it's still not going to cover what it felt like for you at the moment you realized you were in a bad situation up through what it was like after you went public. I just want an opportunity for people to be able to tell their stories in their own words.
Many of the people we spoke to said they are following SB 331, the bill you cosponsored that could be on the move again next month. Tell me about what you're hoping will happen from here with the Silenced No More Act.

U.S. Justice Dept says IRS must provide former President Donald Trump's tax returns to CongressThe U.S. Justice Department on Friday ordered the Internal Revenue Service to hand over former President Donald Trump's tax returns to a House of Representatives committee, saying the panel has offered 'sufficient reasons' for requesting the material. The department's Office of Legal Counsel reversed course and declared that the department erred in 2019 when Trump was still in office when it found that the request for his taxes by the Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee was based on a 'disingenuous' objective aimed at exposing them to the public. 'We cannot know where receipt of the requested tax information will take the committee, any more than the committee itself can predict what it will find or determine,' wrote Acting Assistant Attorney General Dawn Johnsen for the Office of Legal Counsel.
