Florida native visited both Alabama and Auburn
Jacobs will be reunited in Columbia with former Jaguars defensive coordinator Corey Batoon, who joined the Tigers program in January. The Niceville, Fla., native also visited Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss.The 6-foot-2, 218-pound Jacobs totaled 56 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and three forced fumbles in a part-time role as a sophomore in 2023. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Jacobs is the third player who left South Alabama after spring practice to announce his destination for 2024. Keith Gallmon is headed to Austin Peay, while fellow safety Tremel States-Jones has committed to Rhode Island.
