Fox Valley Concert Band continues its 40th anniversary celebration with a concert on May 7.
The band's longtime conductor, Colin Holman, will be joined by five guest conductors: Kaneland Harter Middle School's Rebecca Andersen; Geneva High's Pat Frederick; East Aurora High's Brian Liska; Illinois Valley Community College's Gene Montgomery; and Northern Illinois University's Ronnie Wooten.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at the Norris Cultural Arts Center, 1040 Dunham Road, St. Charles. The concert program will include"Home of the Brave," arranged by Pasternak, Robert Russell Bennett's"Symphonic Songs for Band," LoPresti's"Elegy for a Young American," Yurko's Danza No. 2, Persichetti's"Pageant," Jacob's"Original Suite,""Australian Up-Country Tune, arranged by G.C. Bainum, and"Marche Des Parachutistes Belges" arranged by Wiley.
