It took the town hall over two and a half hours to find a practitioner from a surrounding region who came in to help. It’s a situation she finds unacceptable and the reason why she has issued the edict: The small village is like many rural communes across France, which often experience a dearth of medical staff and where locals often have to travel to larger nearby towns or cities to access medical services.
