Friday's Astros-Angels series opener will be the fourth Houston game this season that will stream exclusively on Apple TV+ instead of airing on AT&T SportsNet Southwest, the team's normal cable television home. The Astros' first three Friday night Apple TV+ games were of the boom-or-bust variety offensively. Houston scored 13 runs in victories April 8 and June 17 against the Angels and White Sox, respectively, while getting shut out May 20 against the Rangers.
Announcers for Friday's game will be play-by-play man Stephen Nelson, analysts Hunter Pence — a former Astros All-Star outfielder — and Katie Nolan and sideline reporter Heidi Watney. Game coverage will include pregame and postgame shows with host Lauren Gardner and analyst Anthony Recker.The Apple TV+ games continue to be free to watch, for the time being.
