she was having lunch with a friend of Roberts-Joseph who, like many in the community, is trying to “digest losing someone of this magnitude.” Rep. Marcelle said the conversation at lunch ranged from fond memories of the beloved activist to ensuring that her legacy continues now that she’s gone.
The family has created The Sadie Roberts-Joseph Memorial Fund at Hancock Whitney Bank and is hoping to raise funds that will go toward museum operations.
