After struggling with infertility and having to cancel their gender reveal party, two pastors were treated to a unique celebration.
After years of trying to conceive a child, Dustin and Jennifer Sanders were excited to celebrate their pregnancy with family and friends at their gender reveal party. But as global coronavirus cases have reached the hundreds of thousands, the Arkansas pastors decided it was best to cancel the big event.
Sanders posted a video of the parade to Facebook and Twitter, and watched it amass over 25,000 retweets by Sunday afternoon. “As a pastor, we always talk about submitting to authority, so we’re trying to do the same thing,” said Sanders. “It hasn’t even hit our town, but we’re abiding by the rules.” “As pastors, it’s our job is to spread the love of Jesus and God throughout the community,” said Sanders, who pointed out that his church is going above and beyond to help those in need. This past week, their church partnered with teachers to deliver close to 1,500 meals to the children who are on reduced lunches, dropping off each one at the front door to maintain a safe distance.
