Two places up for grabs in Frisco ISD for May election
Two Frisco ISD board seats are up for grabs.Two board seats are up for grabs in the Frisco Independent School District, with four people vying for the seats, including incumbent Dynette Davis.
Board members are elected to three-year, at-large staggered terms representing the entire Frisco ISD community. Places 4 and 5 are on the May ballot this year, currently held by Davis and Debbie Gillespie .Davis, an educator, has lived in the district for 10 years. She was. Challenging Davis is Reed Bond, an IT project execution lead who has lived in the district for 10 years.
Place 5 candidates include Mark Hill, an attorney who has lived in the district for 17 years, and Susan Kershaw, a registered nurse and homemaker who has also lived in the district for 17 years.to challenger Marvin Lowe by 51 votes in a race that saw more than 15,000 ballots cast.Hebert requested a recount, which did not change the outcome but tightened the margin. The
difference between Lowe and Hebert resulted in two votes fewer than election night totals, which showed a 53-vote margin and one less the canvassed results, which showed a 52-vote margin..
