Screen Rant is excited to share the first look at Diamond Select Toys' newest addition to their G.I. Joe Legends In 3D collection, Snake Eyes. The secretive ninja commando's famous mask and weaponry have been crafted into a 1/2 scale bust, perfect for any G.I. Joe fan's collection. The bust is designed by Joe Allard and sculpted by Rocco Tartamella.
Much of Snake Eyes' history remains unknown, with his birth name, birthplace, his childhood, and most of his military record being classified. He is an extremely skilled fighter with extensive knowledge of multiple martial arts and many different weapons. Originally in the U.S. Army, he was a member of the Special Forces before being recruited to the G.I. Joe team. Snake Eyes has been featured in G.I. Joe action figure lines, animated series, comics, and the G.I. Joe live-action movies.
Long before Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, G.I. Joe characters were strictly action figures. The G.I. Joe action figure line was originally developed by Stanley Weston in 1963. After creating a rudimentary prototype and marketing materials, he licensed the concept to Hasbro for $100,000. G.I. Joe is a huge franchise with multiple action figure lines developed and distributed over the years.
