Houston attorney Tony Buzbee is hosting a press conference Wednesday to reveal more about the Galveston SWAT raid that led to the chief being placed on leave.
Galveston city officials said more details should be available Monday about a SWAT raid on Jan. 22 that resulted in Police Chief Doug Balli being placed on administrative leave, and a lawyer for the family said he would be providing more information later this week.MORE ON RAID:“Will reveal a lot then about what really happened that morning,” he said.
“They fire wooden pellets that go through the walls,” he wrote. “They break every window in the entire house and continue to destroy your house even after knowing they’ve made a mistake. They handcuff you, and your teenage kids and drag you out of the house, even though you don’t resist and have no idea what’s going on.
Barnett did say she expected the city would provide additional information by the end of the day Monday.
