\nEarlier this week, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that HBO had given a series order for the 'Game of Thrones' spinoff prequel series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. Written & executive produced by George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker , the series is set a century before the events of 'Game of Thrones,' when two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg.
' Martin believes it will 'most likely' be six episodes but that it's too soon for that final decision. The announced title is currently the working title but could end up being the final title .\nThere are three Dunk & Egg novellas currently in play , with the first season set to adapt 'The Hedge Knight' .
