Some citizens in Georgia filed a lawsuit Thursday to try and prevent RepMTG, a Georgia Republican, from seeking reelection to Congress, citing Greene's support for those who participated in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The group of Georgia voters argues Greene is unfit for office, according to the suit filed with the Georgia secretary of state.The congresswoman has violated the Constitution's"Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause," the lawsuit reads.
Rep. Madison Cawthorn, a North Carolina Republican, faced a similar charge that was dismissed on March 4.
