nDream's Ghostbusters VR game that was announced earlier in 2022 now finally has a full title as well as a release window.
nDreams didn’t elaborate more in its official avenues, but did speak more about it with Kinda Funny. Game Director Nathan Baseley talked about the need for authenticity, what pillars can’t be changed, how important multiplayer is for, and emphasizing the qualities of VR. Host Greg Miller noted of its small changes like turning a cable car into a containment unit and how the Ghostbusters headquarters is a cable car station, both of which are fitting for its San Francisco setting.
Missions will either focus on combat, investigation, or a combination of both. However, the studio didn’t release a trailer to show the mechanics in action. And despite the lack of video footage, Baseley talked about the new characters in the key art and even though players can’t create them from scratch or fully customize them, they can be dressed up with new costumes. There’s also a new villain called the Ghost Lord, who is an ever-present threat that is “attached to the city.
