Veteran Tyrod Taylor will make his third straight start at quarterback

Jones has said repeatedly this injury is different than the neck injury he sustained in Week 12 of the 2021 season against the Philadelphia Eagles. The pattern, however, has been similar. “He’s getting better,” Daboll repeated. “It’s non-contact stuff. He’s throwing. He feels better every day. He has done a good job here with the things we do out here on the practice field and we’ll take it one day at a time, but he’s getting closer. He takes scout-team reps. All I’ll tell you is I meet with the trainers and doctors and what they tell me he can do, that’s what we do.”“They told me he was out this week, so I figure I would give it to you guys,” the coach said.
Andrew Thomas, out the last seven games with a lingering hamstring injury, was a limited participant in practice again Friday and appears unlikely to return to the lineup against the Jets.
