Mesa Mayor John Giles gave his annual State of the City speech Tuesday. He touted the city's economic growth and expanded ASU partnership.
In a packed Mesa Convention Center hall, Mayor John Giles used his annual state of the city speech to highlight the city’s economic growth, higher education advancements and climate actions Tuesday.
The annual State of the City by the mayor, which serves as a check in and a sneak peak at what's to come for the city, attracted top leaders in the state including Gov. Katie Hobbs and Arizona State University President Michael Crow, who joined Giles on stage.She said she'd continue to partner with cities across the Valley to continue that work.Mesa is the third largest city in the state with more than half a million residents.
The new center will explore semiconductor manufacturing among other areas of manufacturing education. It will be the first advance manufacturing school of it size, Giles said.
