President Kristina M. Johnson is joining thousands of freshly minted alumni who will be leaving Ohio State after commencement Sunday.

“Graduates, wherever you go, I hope you bring a bias towards kindness with you,” she said. “Never underestimate the power of compassion. Have patience with your fellow travelers on this planet. Pay it forward, and always do the right thing as you see it, and you will be unstoppable.”On stage surrounded by administrators and university trustees, Johnson thanked the graduates as her 2½-year tenure as president came to a close.
“It’s sort of a very surreal feeling right now; it doesn’t feel real,” said Carter-Stewart after receiving her diploma. “But I’m super excited, super blessed. I’m very excited to finally be done.” Houston, 23, of Westerville, will next move to Atlanta, Georgia, where he will work for Delta Airlines, he said.
