Erik Cantu's family has organized a GoFundMe campaign for the teenager, who was shot multiple times by a now-fired SAPD officer earlier this month.who was shot by a police officer in a North Side McDonald's parking lot has raised more than $29,000 through a GoFundMe fundraiser.
The money from the fundraiser will go toward Cantu's medical bills and to help his parents with his needs, his uncle, Ruben Carranco, wrote in the GoFundMe post. On Tuesday, Erik's father wrote an update to the GoFundMe campaign, which has raised $29,000 and has a $100,000 goal.
