A full-floor Gold Coast condominium once owned by actor and Chicago-area native Vince Vaughn sold Thursday for $4.93 million. The condo is on the 35th floor of the Palmolive building.
Raised in Buffalo Grove and then Lake Forest, Vaughn owned the top three floors in the Palmolive — the 35th, 36th and 37th — from 2006 until 2016. He paid $12 million in one deal for all three floors, but he ultimately sold the triplex in two pieces in 2016, unloading the top two floors for $8 million and then selling the 35th-floor unit for $4.1 million.
The sellers first listed the 35th-floor unit in September 2020 for $6.2 million. They took it off the market in September but then relisted it in December for $5.2 million. Listing agent Brian Loomis, who also represented the buyers, declined to comment on the sale. Public records do not yet identify the buyers.
