A heartwarming rescue mission was launched after a good Samaritan discovered a dog in distress on Power Plant Rd.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, shelter staff initiated efforts to provide immediate medical attention to the dog. After coordinating with local resources, the decision was made to transport the dog to Callaghan Road Animal Hospital in San Antonio, where specialized care could be provided. This step was taken to document the circumstances surrounding the dog's condition and ensure that appropriate measures could be taken to address any potential concerns.Phoenix has undergone debridement surgery and remains in the hospital due to high kidney values. It's reported that Phoenix has been improving since Wednesday.
