? A few days ago, however, Google Facts copped backlash for tweeting that men prefer women who wear less makeup. This is not a funny thing to throw into a dinner conversation, and it's not useful for women who wear makeup because — shocker — they like it. It's also not even true. What most people mean when they say"I don't like makeup" is"I only like painstakingly applied makeup in natural hues." Shout-out to the guys who chimed in to actually admit this.
The fact-of-the-matter character of the tweet made it perfectly ripe for mockery, and women wasted no time in taking advantage of this. Fact: women don't exist for the male gaze. No studies needed.
