GOT7’s BamBam Reveals He Used To Have One-Sided Crush On TWICE’s Nayeon
On the March 17 episode of his show “BamBam Home,” BamBam hung out with his longtime friend TWICE’s Jihyo, whom he’s known ever since they were 13 years old and trainees at JYP Entertainment together.
During the episode, BamBam commented, “A lot of people don’t know that Jihyo and I are close. But she’s been a good friend ever since my very first day in Korea.” Jihyo recalled, “Shockingly, BamBam used to be shorter than me… He came up to [my shoulder], and I was like, ‘Who’s this baby?’ But we turned out to be the same age.”
Pointing out that they’ve known each other for 13 years, Jihyo went on, “BamBam really feels like family.” BamBam then surprised Jihyo with his unexpected honesty as he brought up his past unrequited crush on her bandmate Nayeon. “I think I actually talked to Nayeon more often than you [when I was a trainee],” he said, before adding, “I used to love Nayeon one-sidedly, remember?”
Jihyo exclaimed in shock, “You’re really hiding nothing. That’s so cool of you, BamBam.” BamBam responded, “I was 14 years old [by Korean reckoning]. It’s natural [to have a crush], right?” Jihyo agreed, “That’s right. [Nayeon] was really pretty.”
