.GreenDay ripped through a performance of 'Father Of All” & 'Basket Case' at the 2019 AMAs
Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day performs onstage during the 2019 American Music Awards at Microsoft Theater on Nov. 24, 2019 in Los Angeles., and Sunday at the American Music Awards, they proved “Basket Case” has lost none of its bite over the last quarter century with a ferocious live rendition of the pop-punk classic after ripping through “Father Of All,” the lead single from an upcoming album from the trio in 2020.
Their performance was preceded by a heartfelt introduction from Billie Eilish, who said, “Growing up, there was no band more important to me and my brother.” Sure enough, Billie and Finneas were all smiles from the front row as they raged along to the song, with Post Malone and a random toddler getting turnt too.
