in September where her passionate plea for real action to halt climate change got plenty of people to sit up and pay attention. “This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here,” she began before quickly turning emotional. “I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you? You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words and yet, I am one of the lucky ones. People are suffering.
If a bunch of awful adults would just shut up and listen, Thunberg and her fellow young people could help open more eyes to the true crisis our planet is in and the worse one it’s heading towards if meaningful action isn’t taken. Her TIME cover is just one more way to help spread her urgent message.
