BREAKING A man, who officials say may have been dealing with mental health issues, surrendered after holding his teen cousin at gunpoint and livestreaming the standoff on Instagram, according to Philly police. Fortunately no injuries were reported:
Police then contacted family members who lived nearby. The family members told police the gunman was the teen girl's cousin and he did not live with her inside the home. Police then called the suspect on his cellphone.
Police said they then discovered the suspect was streaming the hostage situation on Instagram Live. When police watched the livestream, they saw video of the man pointing a gun at his cousin.
