China’s President Xi Jinping could end up traveling to Harris’ home state for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ meeting that’s will be held in San Francisco in November. But a meeting between Xi and President Joe Biden during the APEC summit is far from a given; China’s top security agency has said a meeting between the leaders hinges on the U.S. ““I think he is absolutely an important player in this region of the world.
